8:30 Registration and coffee

9:00 Welcome

9:15 All About Herbs: John Wrenn, J&B Herb and Plant Farm

10:15 Small Scale Vegetable Gardening:  Lin Frye, Granville Gardeners

11:15 The Beauty of Edible Plants in Garden, Design: Julieta Sherk, Asst. Professor, NCSU Dept. of Horticulture

12 noon Lunch and Nurturing Soil and Plants with Vermicompost: keynote speaker Rhonda  Sherman, NCSU Extension Specialist in Vermiculture, Solid Waste Management, and Environmental Technology.

1:30-3 p.m. Optional Worm Bin Construction Workshop (extra registration required; fee includes all materials and one pound of worms to “eat your garbage”)

Registration Costs and Notes

Morning session only (includes lunch): $15 on or before March 1; after March 1, $20.
