Mark your calendar! Johnston County’s annual Master Gardener Plant Sale will take place Saturday, April 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Natives, annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, house plants and more – from the usual to the unusual – will be sold at very reasonable prices. All have been grown by Master Gardeners. Also for sale: trees and shrubs grown by local nurseries, and gently used gardening books, tools, equipment, and garden art. Join us for a fun morning complete with demonstrations, and visit the community garden, too. The sale takes place at the Clayton Community Center, just off Business 70 near downtown Clayton. The street address is 715 Amelia Church Rd., Clayton, 27520. Proceeds from the sale help fund the school and community outreach programs run by the Johnston County Extension Master Gardeners Volunteer Association.
