rice pudding/arroz con lecheNow, that the holidays are here, let’s enjoy some comfort food! Arroz con Leche is a very popular dessert in Latin countries. It is actually one of the oldest desserts in Spain, according to United Planet. This dessert, however, did not originate in Spain. Arroz con Leche was introduced to Spain when the Muslims conquered the southern portion of the Iberian Peninsula. Throughout the regions of Latin America, you can find variations of the recipe but they all incorporate the basic ingredients of rice, milk, sugar, lemon, or orange peel.
