Join this FREE virtual panel presentation by experts in agroecology and permaculture on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 6 p.m. to learn about food forests and design ideas for small backyard spaces.

We will take a look at the newly planted perennial food forest at the North Carolina State University Agroecology Education Farm and learn about edible and beneficial plantings for different forest guilds. Panel experts are from:

  • NC State University’s Agroecology Education Farm: Daniel Holloman, Assistant Farm Manager, and Dr. Michelle Schroeder-Moreno, Agroecology Education Farm Director and Interim Co-Director of the Center for Environmental Farming Systems
  • The Department of Horticultural Science:  Dr. Anne Spafford, Permaculture and Landscape Design Professor

They will share resources, discussions, and permaculture techniques to help bring a perennial food forest to your backyard!
