Uncheck all of the boxes except the Demonstration Gardens box. These gardens have signage identifying plants that were selected to thrive in the region. Many feature gardens with specific themes including pollinator gardens, shade gardens, vegetable gardens, composting stations, and more. Some offer tours and workshops in the garden.
NC State's JC Raulston Arboretum
A nationally acclaimed garden with one of the largest variety of landscape plants adapted for use in the Southeast. Plants are collected from all over the world and evaluated to identify superior plants for use in southern landscapes. Explore the garden for free. Attend special events, workshops, and featured speakers. They also have a vibrant volunteer program.
Many thanks to Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteer Margery Pearl for her research on this project.
